The Modern Outdoor Retreat

This project was all about working with the different levels of the garden to create a clean, contemporary outdoor space, while retaining the existing lawn and giving it a completely new setting.

We constructed new retaining walls throughout the garden, finished in a crisp white render and topped with contrasting dark porcelain coping stones. These define the different levels beautifully, creating a strong architectural framework around the existing lawn and the new entertaining areas.

A generous porcelain patio was installed alongside the house, creating a practical space for outdoor dining and relaxing. The same paving continues through the garden in the form of steps and stepping stones, helping to connect each area and create a natural flow between the different levels.

Decorative gravel was used throughout to soften the hard landscaping and provide contrast against the porcelain and rendered walls, while also creating a low-maintenance finish.

The result is a bright, spacious garden where the existing lawn and new landscaping work seamlessly together - transforming a challenging multi-level space into a stylish and practical garden made for everyday outdoor living.
