The Alfresco Living Garden

This project was created to transform a generous garden into a stylish, sociable outdoor space - somewhere designed for everything from relaxed family afternoons to long summer evenings spent entertaining friends.

Working from an existing garden design, we completely transformed the space, creating a large central lawn framed by characterful clay block pathways. Herringbone detailing was incorporated at key points throughout the paving, adding interest and giving the garden a beautifully considered finish.

At the heart of the project is a dedicated outdoor entertaining area, enclosed by bespoke timber raised beds and finished with porcelain paving. A built-in outdoor fireplace and kitchen create a natural focal point, while separate dining and lounge areas provide plenty of space for cooking, eating and relaxing together.

On the opposite side of the garden, a further bespoke raised timber planter was created as a dedicated herb garden. Stepping stones lead across the lawn to a separate herringbone-paved seating area, adding another destination within the garden and creating a natural sense of flow between the different spaces.

The result is a beautifully balanced garden that brings together traditional materials and contemporary outdoor living - a welcoming space made for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying with family and friends throughout the seasons.
